Everything is So Neon

Graduation Celebration!! Its crazy how many places I have been the past few months, but this was different...Rachel was taking her first steps in the "City of Sin" aka Las Vegas, NV and I was along for the ride. Flying in I tried to take a nap so I could be prepared for the events that were ahead of me upon touchdown.
When we landed at the airport our limo was there waiting on us, fully loaded with adult beverages, and I was already about 17hrs into my day. This was going to be a long night! We made our trek across the desert to our oasis at the brand new M Resort. This was located off the strip which actually was quite nice to retreat back to after a long evening. Our casino was beautiful, and we checked into a gorgeous suite with a panoramic view of the Vegas strip. So Rachel and I did what we do best and took over the room with clothes thrown everywhere, and make up and curling irons all over the bathroom....
Haha it was the best. After getting dolled up we headed down to meet some friends and play a little card game called blackjack :) The evening was off to a great start. We won a little money and grabbed our driver for the weekend to take us to the Strip. I could feel the rush of excitement flow through my veins...or wait? was that the adrenaline for the 5 hour energy drinks??? Oh well either way I was excited and ready!!
As we approached the strip the Famous words of Rachel were spoken "Everything is so NEON" We went to meet up with friends at Vanity for the first stop of evening, it was over to Surrender....bottles were popping, drinks were flowing....and a little fist pump action was taking place...YEP this is Vegas. Working up to hour 24  we called the driver to take us back to our casino...it was time for a late night snack or meal!!  haahaha. Oh good times, and long hallways. The next morning consisted of  breakfast, bloodymarys and picking a swimsuit. Oh wait that was taken care of by our lovely friends at SYRUP SWIMWEAR.
We met up with everyone from last night to head over to Wet Republic where we had a cabana.
This place was insanely packed full of people with the least amount of clothing as possible. We chilled out most of the day, and enjoyed the scenery as most of you would. It took us a good bit to get on the level of drinking again after the night before but with it in front us ....it was very tempting. These boys could put down come goose. After being here for a while we kinda had money on our minds and was ready to skip out to go play some more...or shopping either way the day was almost over.
So we headed to the casino to change and get ready for dinner and gamble a little. We had plans to eat a the steakhouse in our casino for the evening and gamble, we were going to go out for a bit but had chosen not to because we wanted to play cards. Well as we sat down for dinner and I ordered a glass of wine I realized I didn't have my camera or ID or debit card, I had left them at Wet Republic. So needless to say I was freaking out!!! I didn't know where anything was, how I was going to get on the plane the next day, how I was going to "drink" that last night or hell even party for that matter. I called everyone we where with and no one was answering, probably because they were passed out.
But later after dinner I finally got a call back and one of the boys had picked up my things and told us to meet them at Bank that night so I could get it from them....OH Sigh of RELIEF!! The next morning we got up and packed, left out a few crucial things for the day because our flight left around 6ish. So we had plenty of time to go to REHAB that day. We headed down to the lobby to get our driver to take us awayyyyyyyy in a what?? we looked at each other and smiled as we stepped into Maybach....this car was awesome!!
The line for Rehab we insane! Thank goodness we didn't have to wait that long, cabanas on deck beside the DJ booth. It was party time! Our last chance for desert sun and alcohol. Once we got in, I found my nice little spot on the daybed to catch some rays. Rehab was pretty amazing the music was great!!! and it was a sea of people that weekend.
We danced like crazy and as the day grew closer to our flight, we were being talked into postponing our flight til the next day so we could all go watch the Lakers playoff game....oh how tempting it was. But it wasn't possible. Sooooo we pushed the envelope to the latest moment we could to leave...we made it to taxi lane in our swimwear and grabbed a cab. I ended up changing in the cab and we rushed through the airport to our terminal and grabbed food, LOL lots of food from Sabarro pizza. I mean you woulda thought we were feeding 4 people. YEP 2 drunk girls at a pizza place after a day in a bikini...#fatkidsatheart. Well it was wheels up, eyes closed, belly's full....and good bye Sin City until next time.....Operation Graduation Celebration = COMPLETE!

Holiday Isle

Our Last day in Miami we decided to rent a car and head to the Keys...we had heard that most of the locals in the area spend Memorial Day there to get away from the chaos in South Beach...it was a beautiful drive and a gorgeous day! The sun was shining high above us as we drove from Key to Key trying to find a bar near the beach...we finally stopped to grab some drinks for the road and found our way to Holiday Key...
this was a local spot and not to far off the coast we could see a mile wide of boats tied together at the sand bar. We proceeded to go to tiki bar and grab drinks...I bought the first round for everyone and handed them off, when I turned around to join everyone my clumsy self bumped into Trae and knocked his out of his hand.
We kinda got in a fight after that, I walked off to cool down which wasn't the best decision on my part but I was upset that he had snapped at me for that considering that I bought a replacement he still had an attitude. I found myself sitting on the dock just enjoying the view of the ocean and listening to the waves crash against the shore...they managed to locate me and we tried to get over the situation but as I turned around to meet them I then once more knocked his drink over...at this point I was yelled at for an accident...
I didn't know what else to do besides say I was sorry and that wasn't good enough for him..this day had pretty much went south very quickly we were fighting and it was uncomfortable for Troy and Julie so I just let it and ventured off alone because I was so upset and crying at the fact of how he reacted to an accident.
Julie found me sitting at the bar looking towards the ocean wishing that I was out there away from here, I have always felt a since of connection to the tides. It was like my sanctuary and part of the world where I found peace from things around me. I unloaded my feelings to her and all the doubts that were in my mind about him. She reassured me that everything would be ok if I went with her to the tree house bar after an hour of persuading I finally agreed to try and have a good time and make it right for the rest of the day.
So I walked with her over to meet the boys. I still wasn't quite ready to talk to Trae because he had hurt my feelings tremendously so I sat alone for a bit just enjoying the sunshine on my face. Troy came up to visit me at the top of the Tree house and brought me back down for a drink. Trae still was talking to me so I just sucked it up and had a good time anyways. I figured if he was going to not forgive me for something so stupid why should I care, it was obviously and ego boost for him to act like a 5 year old about me spilling his beer.
Things were awesome besides that, Julie and I and Troy had a great time while Trae pouted in the background. Its amazing how people react to certain situations when alcohol is involved. We were never really the couple to get over stupid things quickly if we had been drinking, it was always a long drawn out process to forgive and forget. Later that evening the Tiki bar became an night club under the stars and full moon we danced and continued consuming adult beverages...I had a blast it was so much fun and I finally got Trae to come around and join us once the end of the night rolled around. We pilled into the car and headed back to south beach...what a long day it had been and we were leaving tomorrow to head back home. We had a great trip but it was time to get back to Nashville and I was leaving the following weekend for Vegas with my bestest.
